Kenya AA Plus coffee originates from the central highlands of Kenya, mainly around the slopes of Mount Kenya, Aberdare Range, and the Rift Valley region.
Flavour Profile: Bright acidity, full body, juicy flavours, citrus, and tropical fruits, with hints of floral.
Altitude: 1,500–2,100 meters.
The high elevation contributes to slower cherry development, which enhances complexity and density
Grading: “AA” refers to the bean size (the largest and highest grade, screened at 17–18). “Plus” indicates additional selection for uniformity and minimal defects.
This combination of altitude, soil, varietals, and processing is what gives Kenya AA Plus its citrus flavours, hints of floral, wine-like body, and distinct berry/tropical fruits.
